Unsere Spiele gibt es offline überall, wo es Spiele und Bücher gibt :)
We are changing the gaming world!
Will you join us?
We rethink images and what ideas they produce in our minds.
We change what we see in our every day lives to drive change towards a more just and equal world and to initiate change processes.
gender-equitable
diverse
sustainable
It is especially important to us to disseminate these topics not only in academic circles, but to make them accessible to everyone – for example, through our playing cards.
Speaking about difficult topics such as racism or sexism is associated with insecurities and fear for many people. Through an unconstrained atmosphere at a games evening, such topics can be made more accessible and encourage reflection. We also try to bring this atmosphere into our workshops. Workshops
Sarafina
Hi, I am Sarafina (she/her). My favorite card is the King*Queen of clubs because it combines two of my heart topics. First: Feminism can only be intersectional! Second: clothing/cosmetics has no gender! At the Spielköpfe I am responsible for shipping and accounting, among other things.
Jule
Moin, I'm Jule (she/her) and I have two favorite cards. Of the children's cards I like the King*Queen of clubs cards the best. I like not only the really great drawing, but especially the representation it creates for children in wheelchairs. I also love the supporting attributes of jewelry and flowers, as they give the figure a wide area of identification for children. The Queen of Clubs is also one of my favorite cards, as I think the card is just beautifully drawn. I'm at Spielköpfe as an intern in project management and do quite diverse and exciting tasks, from social media to sales.
Jana
Hi, I'm Jana (she/her). Why the short-haired lady is my favorite card? I think that's obvious!:) To depict our diversity, it was high time for new images. With this we want to break subconscious stereotypes. At game heads, I'm co-responsible for social media, trade shows and educational topics, among other things. Join in & play fairer in the future! Until the next game, I look forward to hearing from you on Facebook or Instagram!😊
Sam
Moin”, I am Sam (she/her) and my favourite card is the Queen of Spades, because gender is first and foremost a social construct. We have to stop thinking in binaries and start valuing people regardless of their gender. At Spielköpfe I am co-responsible for the financials, the website, product development and educational work. I particularly enjoy the intellectual challenges and discussions that are going on in the feminist and anti-racist scene.
Lorina
Hi, I'm Lorina (she/her). My favorite cards are the Queen of Clubs and the Joker, because in every self-confident lady there can also be a crazy child. At least that's the case with me. We should stop putting everyone in any pigeonholes, but rather start to get to know an individual without prejudices and without expectations. I support Spielköpfe on a freelance basis in design.
Afi
Hi, I'm Afi (she/her) and I have two favourite cards. The first being the Queen of Spades, because she reminds me of Chun-Li - the first female protagonist in the street-fighter universe. With just one kick she destroys the patriarchy - literally. The second is the King*Queen of Clubs, because if you’re feminism does not include Women of Colour and FLINTA* it’s not feminism! I support the Spielköpfe as an intern with the visual creation of content and products (e.g. Design & Photography).
Tobi
Hey, I'm Tobi (he/him) and my favorite card is the Jack of Diamonds because I really like the illustration itself and it depicts a modern German person. We live in a country of immigration and it is enormously important to know, understand and respect the cultural backgrounds of everyone living here. I support the Spielköpfe with advertising, design and marketing.
Our Artists
It is particularly important to us to consider different perspectives and backgrounds in the design process. That’s why we work with a wide variety of artists:
Lisa Marie
Because big steps were once small and because big changes are born with good ideas. @ lisamarieli92
Anders
Vanessa
Vanessa Reed is an Illustrator based in Hamburg. Her love for all things mystical and fantasical can be seen in her artwork, as she explores the visionary world and brings it to life while also discovering different creative fascettes of herself, she stays in a constant state of growth. @mooneye_art
Roya
I study communication design and I'm particularly fascinated by people in all their diversity, with their individual expression. I always wanted to illustrate a parlor game anyway, so the game heads came just at the right time. I think it's great to show the wonderful diversity of people in everyday things like the deck of cards and thus raise awareness of it! @roya_soraya
Ami
Hello, my name is Amie. I'm 20 years old and I'm currently studying for my design baccalaureate. In my free time, I'm mainly involved in art, but among other things, I'm also committed to inclusion. Together with friends I work on projects that raise awareness for more inclusion, such as the podcast called Inklugang and the inclusive children's book Alle dabei. @amiexart Foto: Anna Spindelndreier
Berni
I want to arouse emotions and inspire people with visual design; if possible on an educational and socially valuable level. It is important to me to create space for creativity and to always keep moving. Besides my Master's degree in Creative Direction, I work in illustration, 2D animation and media design. @tagtraumheldin
